Application status (2025–26)

We are no longer accepting applications for the current school year. Applications for the 2026–27 school year will open on December 1, 2025.

Special Education

All children entering kindergarten with an IEP, requiring specially designed instruction, are eligible for EEU kindergarten.

Children who qualify for special education services must use Open Enrollment to apply through Seattle Public Schools (SPS). The EEU contracts with SPS for a limited number of kindergarten seats each year. SPS assigns eligible students to the EEU through a citywide lottery.
